Desert Days- Tucson

Arizona– God’s country

Questing for desert flowers- wild cactuses and succulents.

I began my trip in Tucson and made my way to Green Valley. I went through Sahuarita and then came to Dragoon and Cochise. There are many beautiful and unique fields of cactus patches within The Sonoran Desert. The Sonoran Desert offers tremendous views of desert landscapes and vegetation.

There are many desert cactus varieties to see at Tucson Mountain Park, The Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, and Saguaro National Park. I took the scenic route through Tucson Cactus Forest Drive and was in desert heaven!

I can’t help but love the rugged beauty and sweet desertscapes of the Old West! My wanderlust adventures just keep coming true!

Tucson Mountain Park is the true Arizona desert experience. Tucson Mountain Park is pure picturesque desertscape heaven. Numerous cacti call Tucson Mountain Park home. The plants thriving here come in many different sizes and colors. Some of the ultimately cactus varieties include the Prickly Pear Cactus, Barrel Cactus, and Saguaro Cactus. The Saguaro Cactus can grow to over 40 ft. tall and is one of the Sonoran deserts most prominent cactus plants!

Tucson Mountain Park is located within the Sonoran Desert and Saguaro National Park. The mountain park can be explored by paid admission to enter the park, or by taking the scenic route. The scenery is beautiful and commands your full attention, and your silence, to fully appreciate the handiwork that it took to create such a desert masterpiece. I completely fell in love with the landscapes, and you will too!
