Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas! Sin City! The city that never sleeps! What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas! The Entertainment Capital of the World! The City of Lights! Viva Las Vegas!
The cross-country drive to Vegas is epic. There is so much space- mountains and cactuses and desert. And then…flashing lights! You see color and life. There are so many things to do in the middle of the desert! Vegas is bright, flashy and vibrant!
Welcome To Fabulous Las Vegas Sign- Huge tourist spot in Las Vegas. Everyone was super excited to get their photo taken with the historic and iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. The sign itself was really cool to see such a well-known piece of Vegas history.
Las Vegas Strip Shops, Mall Outlets, and Souvenir Stores
Las Vegas Strip- Flashing lights! 5 minutes in and I already had my photos taken with Elvis! Viva Las Vegas! The strip is the place for great photo-ops with everyone from Vegas showgirls to celebrity impersonators.
Vegas has some really fun touristy and souvenir shops like M&M’s World and Hershey’s Chocolate World!
The Shoppes at Mandalay Place- various unique shops located between Mandalay Bay and Luxor, and is accessible via the sky bridge. Popular spots include Minus 5 Ice Lounge, RX Boiler Room, Lick and more!
The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace- features restaurants, specialty boutiques and luxury shops including Versace, Giorgio Armani, and Louis Vuitton.
Grand Canal Shoppes- includes Venetian Gondola rides, upscale shops and restaurants located in The Venetian and The Palazzo.

Other shopping centers include Miracle Mile Shops, Wynn Esplanade, Fashion Show Mall and more.
Las Vegas Strip Casinos, Hotels, and Shows
I’m just following where all of the shiny lights take me. Pretty colors. Go back. Pretty colors.
MGM Grand- Old Hollywood and Art Deco-inspired! (Some remnants of the Wizard of Oz Emerald City style.) I loved the retro and funky art displayed here like the Elvis and Johnny Cash photos and paintings. Popular shows here are David Copperfield and Cirque du Soleil: KA.
New York, New York- New York City’s gorgeous colorful and pastel skylines recreated complete with a Statue of Liberty! Big city, Bright lights! Hershey’s Chocolate World and Houdini’s Magic Shop are great stops here. One of the more popular shows here is Cirque du Soleil: Zumanity.
Paris Las Vegas- Parisian inspired, French architecture and an Eiffel Tower! Paris Las Vegas is so dreamy and romantic! Paris Las Vegas is swoon-worthy. I felt like Satine in the Moulin Rouge! Now, where’s my Christian? The show to see here is Circus 1903.
Luxor- 30 story Pyramid and ancient Egyptian inspired architecture! I loved the statues of the Pharaoh and Sphinx. The Titanic Exhibition is housed here. The Vegas shows to see here are Chris Angel Mindfreak and The Blue Man Group.
Bellagio- Sunset over the strip and the famous Bellagio fountain show! The conservatory and Botanical Gardens are a pure enchantment. The whimsical fantasy garden room is absolutely stunning. The well-known show to see here is Cirque du Soleil: O
Excalibur- Camelot inspired, fairytale and medieval! The show to catch here is Tournament King’s dinner theater, and Thunder From Down Under.
Las Vegas Strip Dining
Food Network chef and restauranteur, and star of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, Guy Fieri- Guy Fieri’s Vegas Kitchen and Bar at The Linq, and El Burro Borracho at Rio.
Food Network’s Resturant: Impossible celebrity judge and chef, Robert Irvine- Robert Irvine’s Public House and Gastropub at Tropicana.
Hell’s Kitchen celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay- Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris Las Vegas, Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill at Caesars Palace, Gordon Ramsay Burger at Planet Hollywood, and Gordon Ramsay Hell’s Kitchen at Caesars Palace.
Downtown Las Vegas
Downtown Las Vegas is just as fun and exciting as The Las Vegas strip! I think I may love downtown even more than the strip. They have casinos and hotels including The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino and The Fremont Hotel and Casino, and many more. They also have the Viva Vision light show, The Neon Museum, Slotzilla ziplining, Fear the Walking Dead Survival and so much more!
Downtown Vegas- Downtown Las Vegas is the hub for quickie weddings. I just had to see A Little White Wedding Chapel and the Drive-Through Wedding Chapel Tunnel of Love, and Viva Las Vegas wedding chapel where they have Elvis weddings!
Container Park- Downtown Vegas Arts District, wall graffiti and street murals. Container Park is built from actual shipping containers! Container Park also offers shopping, and several restaurants and bars.
Fremont Street Experience- Top street performers including dancers, acrobatics, and contortionists, plus the Viva Vision musical light show, on the worlds largest video screen! Fremont Street has live musicians and bands, freak-show sideshows, showgirls, protestors, Vegas photo ops with impersonators, shopping dining and nightlife. The Fremont Street Experience is not to be missed!
Long Live Las Vegas! 🎰

You know, I never really thought of visiting Las Vegas until I read your blog. I loved how you mentioned which shows to see (I love a good show!). With Hershey PA being only 20 minutes away from me (and a husband that works for the Hershey company) I tend to forget about Hershey’s Chocolate World out there. Great tips!

My SIL is about to go here woth her husband and I’m so jealous! Having a 14 month old makes it a little easier to get out of the house now woth others watching her! I’m going to convince my husband to take a “fun, crazy parent trip here” 😂❤️

Indeed it is once city with so many places to see and things to do! Vegas is great for entertainment, attractions, and festivities. And right outside Vegas is Red Rock Canyon. So nature lovers unite! There’s truly something for everyone to enjoy. I think this is one of the reasons it’s the perfect vacation destination.
