Bucket List Dreams come true at The Grand Canyon!
The Grand Canyon— The Seven Natural Wonders Of The World!
The Grand Canyon was on my bucket-list for many many years, and I finally got to witness it in all of it’s majestic splendor. There is so much rich native culture and you can see breathtaking views of the Navajo Nation, Colorado River, and the Painted Desert.
We entered The South Rim of the Grand Canyon on the east side and the Desert View Watchtower was the first first observation point we visited. The Desert View Watchtower is also known as the Indian Watchtower. The Desert View was the very first glimpses of The Grand Canyon we got to see. I love all of the old stones and how it towers overhead high in the sky standing at 70 ft. They had Native American women and children doing sewing and needlework inside. The Native American wall murals are carefully crafted and you can see all of the attention to detail in each piece of art. Additionally, etched across the ceilings and walls on each level is beautiful and awe-inspiring paintings and symbols.

We went round and round the spiral staircase unto the third circular level and there we had a 360° panoramic view from observation deck. The elevation from this viewpoint is over 7,000 ft. and you can see parts of the North Rim and Colorado River. I would definitely recommend others to visit the Desert View/Indian Watchtower and spend some time immersing yourself in the traditional native Hopi artwork. Climb all the way to the top of the watchtower to see the massive and incredible views of the Grand Canyon spanning in every direction. The Indian Watchtower is so full of rich culture and here you can witness these scared lands as far as the eyes can see.

We stopped off at several of the different scenic outlooks and points including Grandview Point, Navajo Point, Tusayan Ruins and Museum, Lipan Point, and more.

The Tusayan Museum And Ruin site houses Native American artifacts from many different tribes.I made my way to the ruin site and there is crumbled stone remains in circular formations. You must look deeper than what you see on the surface at the ruins sight to fully appreciate and comprehend the way of the old life. It is heartbreaking to realize how hard your ancestors have struggled to live off the land, and to pave the way to freedom and equality for future generations.

We ended our trip at Mather Point on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Mather Point is the most popular area of the South Rim of The Grand Canyon. The views are tremendous! I even got to watch the sun set over the Grand Canyon and it was a dream come true. Seeing God’s handiwork and watching the sun set over The Grand Canyon has been one of the most incredible and magical experiences of my life. At sunset the sky over The Grand Canyon breaks up into a million tiny particles of technicolor.

I look forward to coming back during different seasons to see all of the splendor of colors and reflections from the sky off the canyon. The Grand Canyon is one of the 7 Wonders of the World and The Grand Canyon will make your bucket-list dreams come true!
